Welcome to Supervision! I am available for pastoral and clinical supervision, as well as supervision on supervision practice.
My approach to supervision is to create a warm, inclusive, safe and professional environment in which supervisees are supported to explore their work context and are nurtured in their professional role. I am an avid life-long learner with diverse experiences in human organisations, community engagement, ministry, counselling, philosophy, aged care pastoral work and school/tertiary chaplaincy.
I acknowledge the need to attend to the normative, formative and restorative tasks of supervision, and seek to do this creatively in ways that recognise each supervisee's preferred learning styles, personality and goals.
In addition to AAOS I am a supervisor member of Transforming Practices and recognised supervisor listed with Chaplaincy Australia, The Uniting Chuurch in Australia, and St Mark's National Theological Centre. I have Level 4 Membership with the Australian Counselling Association and currently serve as President of Viktor Frankl Institute of Australia.

I offer supervision to those in pastoral and social ministries. I have a particular passion for ministry/work among the fringes, bringing my own experiences as a Prison Chaplain and offering pastoral care among those living with homelessness. I am a Spiritual Director, Retreat Facilitator as well as a Pastoral Supervisor. In supervision I offer time and space to reflect on the past, in the present for the future benefit of your ministry/work. In particular, supervision allows you to pay attention to inner experiences evoked and to grow in awareness of healthy and unhealthy, helpful and unhelpful, reactions and responses and hence inform future practice. Supervision contributes to your wellbeing through social and emotional support and cultivates professional resilience. I offer a creative, safe and courageous space which can open new possibilities in your work as you flourish professionally and personally.

Kate Lloyd
Supervisor

For me the heart of supervision stems from its Latin origins, ‘to see beyond’ – to see new perspectives, new capacities, new possibilities. It’s about creating a reflective space that cultivates awareness and balance and arouses passion for practice and growth. It is about a partnership that can nourish and stretch your professional self, to encourage you to show up in your practice and keep it real. As Dr Seuss says “Oh, the places you’ll go”. With over 20 years in community and private counselling, training and supervision, I encourage you to invite me to into your world and let’s dare to explore the familiar and illuminate the unknown. I offer individual and group supervision and am comfortable with any mode that suits you best- phone, virtual, F2F.
